International Cooperation

Overview

With particular attention to globalisation and its impact on people in developing countries, SOLIDAR’s international work is rights-based - that is we believe that the best way for people to get out of the cycle of poverty and to live a decent life is through exercising their social, economic and cultural rights.

SOLIDAR's members work as development organisations, carrying out development and humanitarian projects in third countries as well as awareness-raising about development issues in their own countries.

For SOLIDAR, we need to ensure a rights-based approach to development, poverty eradication and social and economic justice by:

global trading system and corporate accountability which ensures a strong pro-poor and pro-worker perspective
A Financing for Development process which addresses the redistribution and transfer of resources that flow from North to South
Assisting in the coordination of development and humanitarian projects carried out by SOLIDAR members
